Payment

No application fees! We want our payment and registration experience to be as student-centred as possible. Unlike many competitors, we do not charge an application or registration fee. It is free to apply to any of our programs. We accept many forms of payment including credit card, wire transfer and online banking. We provide full refunds for students who are unable to get a visa. We are one of the few Language Schools that offer scholarships for applicants as well – check out our scholarships section below.

You can pay via credit card after you have completed your online application.

To make payment by wire transfer, include your:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Date of birth (YYYY/MM/DD)
  • Queen's Student Number (optional)

To set up your bank account to pay by online banking:

  1. Log onto your online banking application
  2. Set up Queen’s University as a Payee ("Queen’s University", "Queen’s University Tuition Payment")
  3. Enter your 8-digit Queen's student number as the account number
  4. Make payment of amount owing

Please allow a processing time of 3–4 business days.

Refund Policy

Fees must be fully paid before the start of classes in any program and in any session. Any money still owing at this time may be subject to late fees. If a student cancels their registration up until 4:00 p.m. on the first day of any given program, they can receive a full refund, including any deposits paid for future sessions. Part refunds, up to a maximum of 60% of fees, are available after registration up until 4:00 p.m. on the Friday of the first week of classes in most programs. Scholarships

Scholarships can help reduce the cost of attending school and can be an incredible tool to promote equitable access to education. QSoE is extremely proud to offer 4 different kinds of scholarship.

Marion Edith Dubin Award in English

Offered every semester, this award gives one successful applicant $750 CAD towards their EAP studies. All self-funded, enrolled EAP students are eligible to apply.

QSoE 80th Anniversary Award

Offered annually for CASES students, this award gives one successful applicant $800 CAD towards their CASES studies. All self-funded, enrolled CASES students are eligible to apply.

National Scholarships

A variable scholarship offered to any eligible student from select regions towards their studies at QSoE in order to promote equitable access to education.

No separate application necessary — this scholarship is automatically applied to eligible students when they register.

Refugee Sponsorship

Full-tuition sponsorship for newcomers already in Kingston offered by QSoE in partnership with Immigration Services Kingston and Area (ISKA) and KEYS.

Tuition Fees

Planning for the future can be challenging, especially when it comes to International Education. To make our education as accessible as possible, QSoE tuition fees are currently fixed at 2021 levels.

Additional Fees

  QSoE does not charge application fees, registration fees or testing fees.

Some additional fees will be charged to access health services and university facilities.

UHIP

All QSoE students must have health insurance for their studies in Kingston. Queen’s University provides the University Health Insurance Plan(UHIP) for students without other comparable health insurance. For more information visit the UHIP page.

The estimated UHIP fee is Can$63 per calendar month for each month of the program.

Student Activity Fees

Queen's University students get access to a number of university and city services such as the library, gym, student clubs, and free public transport.

Student Activity Fees are charged per program of study.

  • Estimated Student Activity Fees for programs of up to 6 weeks are Can$175.
  • Estimated Student Activity Fees for programs of more than 6 weeks are Can$350.
