QSoE accepts many different payment types through our registration system, and we never charge application or registration fees.
We do not charge application or registration fees! It is free to apply to any of our programs.
Queen's School of English accepts many forms of payment including credit card, wire transfer and online banking. Queen's School of English is one of the few Language Schools that offer scholarships for applicants as well – check out our scholarships section below.
We provide full refunds for students who are unable to secure a visa.

Fees must be fully paid before the start of classes. Should a student have any amount still owing at this time, they may be subject to late fees.

Offered every semester, this award gives one successful applicant between Can$600 — Can$1000 towards their EAP studies. All self-funded, enrolled EAP students are eligible to apply.
Offered annually for CASES students, this award gives one successful applicant Can$800 towards their CASES studies. All self-funded, enrolled CASES students are eligible to apply.
A variable scholarship offered to any eligible student from select regions towards their studies at QSoE in order to promote equitable access to education.
No separate application necessary — this scholarship is automatically applied to eligible students when they register.
All part-time Queen's School of English courses and programs are now part of the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP), which supports eligible Queen’s University employees by covering tuition costs for approved courses taken on a part-time basis (less than 60 percent course load).

If eligible, HR will either prepare a TAP waiver form for you to sign or let you know when to reach out for the waiver based on your program or course start date.
Once your waiver is ready, you will be asked to sign it electronically and return it to hrodl@queensu.ca.
After the waiver is signed and returned, Human Resources will apply it to your student account in SOLUS. The waiver covers:
You will not be required to pay these fees, and the service indicator on your SOLUS account will notify the Registrar’s Office that no payment is required and late fees should not be applied.

Queen's School of English does not charge application fees, registration fees or testing fees.
Some additional fees will be charged to access health services and university facilities.
All QSoE students must have health insurance for their studies in Kingston. Queen’s University provides the University Health Insurance Plan(UHIP) for students without other comparable health insurance. For more information visit the UHIP page.
The estimated UHIP fee is Can$66 per month of a program. This fee is set to rise in Fall 2026 to Can$79 per month of a program.
Queen's University students get access to a number of university and city services such as the library, gym, student clubs, and free public transport.
Student Activity Fees are charged per program of study.
