QSoE students have the unique opportunity to give their time, knowledge and expertise to the Kingston community by joining the QSoE Volunteer Club. The club supports local charities and groups in need. Students decide how they can best support the charity, whether it be through fundraising activities to get money for a charity, giving their time to help the charity's work, or raising awareness in the community.
Take advantage of Kingston’s convenient location and travel with us to tourist attractions in Toronto, Niagara Falls, Ottawa and Montreal. QSoE trips are staffed by our Student Life Program Monitors – Queen’s University students – who make sure our students are safe and have fun! Trip tickets include bus transportation, accommodations, entry to attractions, and free time to explore on your own.
Queen’s School of English is partnered with the Canada Homestay Network (CHN) to provide you with an enriching and engaging homestay experience.
Homestay is recommended while you are studying at QSoE, as it offers many benefits.
Welcoming students into my home for over ten years was the best experience. Not only were they eager to learn about my family and my traditions, but they brought all their culture and experiences with them as well. A wonderful opportunity to grow and share.
