English for Academic Purposes

This 12-week intensive English language program develops knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic success. It is offered three times per year in fall, winter, and summer.

Canadian Academic Skills, English and Sustainability

This 3-week English immersion program focuses on developing language skills using Canadian academic content and the UN\'s Sustainable Development Goals. It emphasizes the knowledge, skills and strategies needed for academic success and is offered twice each year in early spring and summer.

Canadian English Experience

This 3–4 week English immersion program is ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in Canadian culture while learning English. It is offered once per year in winter.

QBridge

QBridge is an English language pathway for students who have been given a conditional offer of admission to a Queen\'s University undergraduate program.

Academic English Foundations

This 6-week intensive English language program builds the foundational knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic success. It is offered three times per year in fall, winter, and summer.

English for Beginners

English for Beginners is a free 6-module online ESL course that will give you the chance to improve your English skills with some fun activities. When you finish the course, you will receive a digital badge of completion.

Language Support

Language Support provides weekly online tutorials for university students currently enrolled in an English-language degree or diploma program.

Tutoring

Our customized one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions offer personalized instruction specifically targeted to your learning needs.

Pathways and Embedded Programs

Queen’s School of English is proud to partner with many different parts of the University and Kingston community to provide language programming to support student journeys from English Learner to Graduate.

English for Immigration and Citizenship Law Pre-Admission Program (Part-time)

This part-time 2-semester, 24-week intensive English language program develops knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic success in the Queen's Faculty of Law Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law.

English for Immigration and Citizenship Law Official Pathway (Full-time)

This fall 12–week intensive English language program develops knowledge, skills, and strategies for academic success in the Queen's Faculty of Law Graduate Diploma in Immigration and Citizenship Law. It is only offered online once per year from early September to early December.

English for Mining

This unique, four-week online course offers comprehensive training in English language skills tailored specifically for the mining sector. QSoE accepts many different payment types through our registration system, and we never charge application or registration fees.

Refund Policy

QSoE offers refunds based on how much of a program has been completed.

Scholarships

Competitive scholarships are available at QSoE, as well as National Scholarships.

Tuition Fees

QSoE fees are charged in Canadian Dollars and are charged per semester of study.

Additional Fees

Some additional fees will be charged to access health services and university facilities.
